This episode of Horizon was about the Human genome, and the advances that will come of it’s sequencing, such as the eradication of Cystic Fibrosis and other genetic diseases.
Watching Horizon has made me realise that we may be living through an era of great scientific discovery that may surpass all future eras of accelerated discovery. It may be that several centuries from now we will look back on the 21st century and say “that was the century that made us.”
